Timothy Talks to Jesus by
Irene J. Steele

My Story
Irene J. Steele is a native of Chicago. Her work has appeared in the anthology West Side Stories and in the collection of Writings by the West Side Writers Guild. Her debut novel, Some Glad Morning, received excellent reviews from book clubs and readers alike. Timothy Talks to Jesus is her first children’s book. She is a member of the American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW). Irene and her husband, Tony, reside in suburban Huntsville, Alabama. She loves music, writing, reading, and praise and worship.
I love literature. I love reading, writing, and the creative process itself. I especially like writing about the idiosyncrasies that make individuals unique. In the process, everyday people become extraordinary individuals who have stories to tell. Writing fiction is a magical process where a writer sits down with a character and, over the course of time, a story unfolds and characters take on lives of their own. The writer is simply the medium, and I’m blessed to be used as an instrument to tell a story. My prized possession growing up on the West Side of Chicago was my library card.

Books by Irene J. Steele

Timothy Talks to Jesus by Irene J. Steele is a worthy addition to the ranks of children’s Christian literature. The storyline of a child’s burning desire to talk to Jesus and have Him respond is a compelling one for a children’s story, recalling Jesus’ edict in Matthew 18: 1-5: “Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven...” The brilliantly illustrated pages that capture Timothy’s innocence and persistence will win your hearts and the hearts of all children fortunate enough to read this book. I highly recommend it.
